Princess Isabelle: A Story of Strength and Hope

A Little Girl With a Big Battle
At just one year old, sweet Isabelle—affectionately known as Princess Izzy—was diagnosed with Leukemia.
Childhood should be filled with playtime, giggles, and discovery, but Izzy’s early years were shaped by hospital rooms, long days of treatment, and countless trips for chemo.

Even in the hardest moments, Izzy found comfort in the things she loved most: her pink fuzzy blanket, a handful of Doritos, apple sauce, and her Grandpa’s farm‑animal videos. Those small joys became her safe place.

Finding Light at The Sunshine Factory
Throughout her treatment, Isabelle made frequent visits to The Sunshine Factory—a place where she didn’t have to be “the patient.” She could simply be a kid. She could play, explore, laugh, and forget, even for a moment, the weight of what she was fighting.
It’s where we turn crappy into happy, and Izzy embraced every bit of sunshine she found there.

A Celebration Fit for a Princess
After many long months of treatment, Isabelle reached the milestone every family longs for: the end of treatment. And for a little girl who had endured so much, we knew her celebration needed to be magical.
So we hosted a tea party—complete with treats, smiles, and the incredible oncology team at Logan Health Children’s Hospital gathered around her.
It was a day filled with joy, relief, and hope. A day where Princess Isabelle was celebrated not for her illness, but for her bravery, her spirit, and her beautiful resilience.

A Happy Ending
Although her journey began with heartbreak, Isabelle’s story shines brightly. She is a reminder of why 406 For Kids exists—because every child deserves moments of joy, comfort, and sunshine, even in the hardest chapters of life.
Princess Izzy, you are strong, radiant, and so very loved. Your story truly shines.
